6. Yogurt and Kefir
Kefir and yogurt are dairy products that have been fermented and may help to maintain or reduce blood sugar levels.
A study carried out with 60 people who have type 2 diabetes showed that taking 20 ounces of kefir, a yogurt containing probiotics, can substantially reduce blood glucose levels compared to yogurt with no probiotic.
Another study has shown that consuming 150 grams of yogurt every day improves insulin levels and blood sugar.
